Best Barbeque

Voodoo BBQ

Voodoo BBQ in Mandeville is locally owned and operated by Roger Mitchell and his wife, Heather. This New Orleans’ barbeque joint has won the Northshore’s Best Barbeque four years in a row and when you smell the pecan and oak smoked flavors wafting through the Mandeville restaurant, it’s clear why.

All of their barbeque is slow smoked in-house for at least fourteen hours. Barbeque items like pulled pork, brisket, Cajun smoked sausage, ribs and “mojo” chicken are equally complemented by a choice of tasty sauces and side dishes.

While obviously known for their barbeque, VooDoo BBQ offers a lot more than delicious slow-smoked pulled pork sandwiches and barbeque brisket. Their menu boasts options like salads, seafood, homemade desserts and mouthwatering loaded baked potatoes, as well as an array of catering and bulk ordering options. “We’re able to fulfill large orders, up to 1,000 people with little to no notice,” says Roger.

VooDoo also offers seasonal specialties perfect for family gatherings or a lunch out. For example, during lent they boil crawfish and for the holidays you can pre-order incredible smoked turkeys.

“We just want to thank all of our customers who have supported us through the years, and through the road construction in front of the restaurant,” Roger says, “Even though there are other options on the Northshore they always return to us, and we really appreciate it.” 

VooDoo BBQ & Grill is located at 2999 Hwy 190 East in Mandeville. You can reach them by phone at 985-629-2021 or their website VooDooBBQ.com.
