The couple also fosters dogs and puppies for Dante’s Hope Animal Rescue, Dr. Elstrott says, “Please spay and neuter your pets to reduce the overpopulation in our area. I also encourage everyone to adopt, not shop.” She furthers her mission on the board of Tangi Animal Friends which offers low-cost spay/neuter vouchers and hosts adoption events for dogs from Tangipahoa Parish Animal Control.

Dr. Elstrott is an alumna of the Lousiana School for Math, Science and the Art, LSU College of Agriculture and LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she served in the US Army Veterinary Corps for three years.
