Dr. David D. Tran
David D. Tran, MD is a 15-year resident of the Northshore and an internist who is known for his warm and friendly manner. He believes that listening to patients and understanding their history is what allows him to make an accurate diagnosis, treat his patients and continue with ongoing, preventative care. Above all, his number one goal is to spend “quality time with each patient, and address all of their concerns.”
Dr. Tran’s practice specializes in outpatient and inpatient care, including management of minor ailments, such as upper respiratory infection to critical ailments such as stroke, myocardial infarction and complications from diabetes.
He practices Monday through Thursday and on Saturday mornings. Night appointments are Monday and Wednesday and same day visits on all office days, something he states, “Makes him different from other practices.”
He has been a resident of Louisiana since 1983, completed his medical school at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport and residency training at Tulane Medical Center, prior to his practice here on the Northshore in 1998.
Voted the Northshore’s Best Internal Medicine Physician for 2012, Dr. Tran says that to understand what each patient “wants and needs” and to “care for his patients and make them better” are what matters the most to him.

DR. DAVID D. TRAN IS A COMPASSIONATE DR. AND ALWAYS LISTENS TO PATIENTS. I HAVE BEEN WITH DR. TRAN SINCE IS PRACTICE 15 YEARS. ALSO MY SPOUCE AND SON.
I WOULD NEVER THINK OF SEEING ANOTHER INTERENEST. I JUST LOVE MY DR. D. TRAN.
