Sit on the porch or splash in the pool with these fresh and fruity cocktails that are sure to keep you chilled!
August Breeze – 3 or 4 sprigs fresh mint 1 tablespoon lime juice 3 tablespoons pink grapefruit juice 1 1/2 ounces white rum Lime and grapefruit slices Muddle mint leaves and lime juice in a cocktail glass until mint is bruised and oils released. Add grapefruit juice and rum. Stir to combine. Pour into an ice-filled glass and garnish with a sprig of mint, lime slice and grapefruit slice.
Beachy Peachy – 1 ounce white rum 1 1/2 ounces coconut rum 1 tablespoon lime juice 4 large peaches 1 cup ice Peel, slice and freeze the peaches at least 4 hours ahead of time. When frozen, place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Add superfine sugar if you’d like it sweeter. Pour into two glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
It Takes Two To Mango – 3 ounces pineapple coconut juice 3 ounces coconut rum 1 ounce mango juice 1 ounce orange juice Splash of grenadine Lime slices and/or orange zest for garnish Stir together juices and rum. Pour over ice and add a splash of grenadine for color. Garnish with lime, orange zest and edible flowers, if desired.
Crystal Blue Persuasion – 1 ounce light rum 1 ounce blue Curacao liqueur 2 ounces pineapple juice 1 ounce cream of coconut 1 cup crushed ice Combine rum, blue Curacao, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and 1 cup crushed ice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled highball glass and garnish with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry.
