Something old, something new. The twelve days of Christmas.
Take me back to when no one counted calories and we thought it was absolutely fine to eat processed food. My mom used to make these for Xmas Eve and serve them warm straight out of the oven. Kind of like cheese straws wrapped around olives. Yum!
1/4 c butter, softened
1c grated sharp cheddar cheese
Cayenne pepper to taste
1/2 c flour
Medium stuffed olives
Cream butter and cheese, add other ingredients
Chill the dough 15 minutes or so.
Shape dough around each olive.
If dough is too dry, add a little more butter.
Bake at 400 degrees, 15 minutes.
