Feed Homeless Animals for Thanksgiving

Written by:

Please Help Feed Homeless Animals This Season

Thanksgiving is a time for us to set aside our worries and take a moment to be grateful for all that we have. Regardless of what life throws our way, many of us are lucky enough to have food, water, shelter and the familiar comforts of our daily lives.

When you and your loved ones gather together this year to eat and give thanks, please take a moment to remember the many animals in our community that are not so fortunate. These innocent animals need the assistance of kind and caring people in their community who can help and we invite you to help feed homeless animals in need.

Northshore Humane Society is saving more homeless dogs and cats than ever before. However, the increasing cost to provide food, proper medical care, housing and supplies for all of our animals has a significant impact on our nonprofit shelter. In addition, we are a non-governmental organization that does not receive any tax funding, making your generosity even more critical to the animals in our care this upcoming holiday season and all year long.

Your Contribution Makes a True Difference

On average, it costs $13.90 to feed a homeless animal for a month. While this cost might be seemingly insignificant, with nearly 250 animals under our care at our adoption facility and in foster homes those costs add up very quickly. Your contribution of any size makes a true difference.

This holiday season, we need your support! Please consider joining our cause and give back to those less fortunate than yourself. Together we can make Thanksgiving special for an innocent animal in need!

To donate and help feed homeless animals, please visit northshorehumane.org or mail a check directly to NHS at 20384 Harrison Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Thank you in advance for your support this holiday season!
