Since 2002, the Northshore-based Divine Protectors of Endangered Pleasures have been entertaining locals
and tourists alike as they hold court from the balcony at Arnaud’s on Bourbon the Friday before Mardi Gras. Wearing
elaborate costumes with DIVA signature Mardi Gras-beaded bustiers, they parade in the French Quarter, accompanied
by the Riverside Ramblers and their faithful escorts, collectively known as the Elvi.
