Culinary Kids
With over 5,500 people and families served in their first year of business, Culinary Kids Northshore has rocketed to high-temperature status as the Northshore’s Best Cooking School and Kids Party Venue. It is not just about cooking; it is growing and mentoring people and families. It is life skills, confidence and connecting.
Owner Sherrí Hansen’s background of over 20 years in nutrition and educational development has merged into an artistic expression where students learn how to cook in a fun environment but one that Sherrí can also tie into the academic principles of math, science, English and language arts, social studies, fitness and nutrition and cultural arts.
Culinary Kids offers classes through field trips, birthday parties, Boy Scout and Girl Scout badge earning sessions, Parents’ Night Out, Mommy and Me, home school groups, corporate events and even an adult Corks and Cooking evening. New “All Abilities Classes” for ages 15-30 are tailored to meet special needs students and are led by professional instructors. The weekly two-hour classes teach independent living and social skills, etiquette, recipe creation and feature developmentally appropriate activities. Classes will run this summer and adult volunteers are needed.
Weekly summer camps begin May 27 for ages 5-13. Kids will help shop, make meals and enjoy exercise games, Cupcake Wars and more. This well-blended mixture of a hands-on, student-centered recipe is what keeps her customers coming back for more.
