The Tchefuncte River Foundation and The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum hosted the 2nd Annual Tchefuncte Tribute Gala to raise funds and awareness to restore the Madisonville lighthouse and the Tchefuncte River beach. Sponsors included Champagne Beverage, Republic and George’s Mexican Restaurant. Over 20 local restaurants provided food for the event with music by Twilight.

Friends of the Northshore Harbor Center celebrated the facility’s 10-year anniversary in style, hosting a Diamonds are Forever Black and White Gala on April 25. This elegant evening included a surf and turf dinner from Patton’s Caterers, music by the Wise Guys and a $2,600 diamond necklace giveaway donated by Sylvia’s Design & Estate Jewelry.
