The Professional Women of St. Tammany awarded 17 deserving women a total of $20,000 in cash scholarships at their annual luncheon held at Tchefuncta Country Club. Scholarships, based on financial need, educational objectives, and community involvement, allow area recipients to continue their educational goals. Funds are raised through various fundraisers throughout the year, including Lakeview Hospital’s Holiday Bazaar, Friends Restaurant’s Bunco Tournament and Putting on the Glitz.
