Russell’s Story of Success
The picture above was one of the first images Northshore Humane Society saw of Russell. Our rescue team immediately moved into action to help this once-mistreated pet. What others would think is a grave and horrendous situation, we saw as a new beginning for an innocent and beautiful soul.
Judging by the severe condition of his skin, it was clear Russell had been abandoned for quite some time. What we couldn’t see and may never truly know are the years of neglect and/or abuse he had endured. Upon arrival at our rescue, Russell was so scared; he shook uncontrollably when approached and flinched when we tried to touch him.
For the first three years of his life, his body and his mind had been severely beaten, but all of that was about to change!
Russell has started what could be a year-long treatment. He will receive the best quality of care and will never feel another minute of pain ever again in his life. He was given a second chance that many may never get to experience.
There are still so many homeless animals just like Russell who need your help. Currently at our facility, Sugar Plum, Graham and Anna are all suffering from skin conditions that will require treatment to heal their skin and their broken hearts.
