NORTHLAKE ACADEMY OF MUSIC has been praised for the innovative education it provides to its students. Founder and owner Leslie Domingues has always been passionate about working with children and creating new programs for music development.
The seeds of Northlake Academy of Music were planted by the preschool music program, Tots-N-Tunes, created in 1998. The program has educated and entertained thousands of children in the Greater New Orleans area and has grown into what we now know as Northlake Academy of Music.
The goal at Tots-N-Tunes is to allow children to explore music in various settings along with Montessori activities. This is a one-of-a-kind program where children learn multiple concepts that they would not get in an ordinary pre-school setting. All themes each week are music-based.
Classes include our Tunes Together Mommy & Me class, Tots-N-Tunes Preschool Music Program, Semi-Private Piano Lessons, Group Beginner Piano Lessons for 3-4 years old, private lessons for all ages (piano, violin, guitar, drums and voice), pre-choir, intermediate choir and advanced choir for ages four through high school. We also offer adult group violin classes for those looking to further their skills and private lessons for adults in all instruments. All students, regardless of the program in which they are enrolled, have the opportunity to participate in a yearly recital. Register now for summer music lessons and music camps for all ages!
