Pick a Bunch of Florals
May 2022 fashions reflect the colors and patterns of the season. When choosing whether to opt for florals or solids, fashion pundits say pick a bunch of both. Pastel florals can bring out the beauty of your delicate side and color blocks of bold brights pay homage to the brilliant blooms this month brings. Textured tops bring throwback trends back into the spotlight. Soft colors allow pretty pleats and ruffles to draw the eye with feminine silhouettes and shapes that mimic spring flowers. Vogue lists this in their Top Eight Spring Trends and suggests, “In pastel colors and delicate patterns, these voluminous pieces work best with minimal styling—let the texture do the talking.”
With warmer weather welcoming the timeless trend of showing more skin, another of Vogue’s Top Eight is short skirts and dresses. The particular style, color and texture, they say, takes a back seat to the central focus of showing off those glamorous gams. What’s underfoot? The pendulum is swinging somewhat back to center with moderate heels, open toes and sexy straps as the holy trinity of dressy spring footwear.
