Every Mom deserves to be pampered on her special day!

To all you mothers out there, take a break and enjoy these special cocktails as you reflect and relax on all of the wonderful things that you do for so many.

I’m Not Cooking Tonight – ¾ ounce simple syrup, 8 fresh mint leaves plus 1 sprig for garnish, 3 lemon wedges, 2 ounces bourbon. Muddle the simple syrup, mint leaves and lemon wedges in cocktail shaker until the lemons are broken down. Fill the shaker with ice and add bourbon. Stir vigorously until very cold. Strain the drink into an ice-filled tall glass, garnish with a mint sprig and serve.

Do Your Own Laundry – 2 cups watermelon cubed, 1 lime, ¾ cup ginger ale, 1½ ounces gin, Lemon and lime slices. Puree the watermelon in a blender and strain the pulp. Pour the watermelon juice into a glass filled with crushed ice, then squeeze the lime juice into the glass. Add the gin and ginger ale and stir well. Add lemon and lime slices. Garnish with a mint leaf

Silence Is Golden – 1½ ounces gin, ½ ounce dry vermouth, ½ ounce sweet vermouth, ½ ounce freshly squeezed orange juice, ½ ounce fresh pineapple juice, Edible flowers and goldleaf. Add all ingredients to martini shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and fine strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with edible flower and goldleaf.

I’m Having A Hot Flash – 1½ ounces silver tequila, 2½ ounces grapefruit juice, 1 ounce fresh lime juice, 1 tablespoon agave nectar, 1-2 slicesjalapeño – depending on your heat preference. Add the ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake until combined and then strain into a salt-rimmed chilled glass. Add a grapefruit wedge and a slice of jalapeño if desired.
