Makeup Artistry with a Passion

Sydney Williams is the next big thing in Northshore on-location makeup artistry, and she’s more than just a make-up artist. At only 21 years old, Sydney is a master esthetician certified to perform an array of services from micro-dermabrasion and multi-vitamin peels to waxing and brow tinting to elegant airbrush makeup for any event.
A background in esthetics means she possesses a knowledge of skin types and tones that allows for a custom-fit experience. Whether it’s a facial, a peel or a makeup application, Sydney has the specialized skills necessary to create a unique experience for each client. From oily or sensitive skin to uneven tones, Sydney caters to each individual client to help achieve their ideal look. She says she has always loved helping people look and feel their best.
Since she was young, Sydney has enjoyed doing her own and her friends’ makeup. It has always been her creative outlet. “I grew up in an artistic environment,” she explains, “and I was never great at painting or drawing, but I was a dancer. Through dance I discovered a passion for makeup.”
After graduating high school she chose to pursue an education from the Aveda Institute. While she knew that she wanted to do makeup, she also knew that “the canvas is key to any masterpiece,” so she decided to become a licensed master esthetician in preparation for a career in makeup artistry. She explains that esthetics and makeup go hand-in-hand. “You can’t have one without the other,” she says. “To be a good makeup artist you must understand the importance of skincare. It’s not just about how to put on makeup.”
Sydney has taken specialty courses such as Advanced Beauty and Fashion from the Makeup Forever Academy in New York City. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in 2016 and has since been practicing as a makeup artist and master esthetician on the Northshore.
