Get Ready for Summer Fun in Abita Springs!

Mayor Dan Curtis Reports on Abita Springs

Get ready for summer fun in Abita Springs! This spring it’s great to see everyone returning to normal activities. We’re happy to have increased numbers visiting our local restaurants, getting together in the  Trailhead Park, enjoying the splash pad, and booking our Town Hall and Trailhead Pavilion for weddings and family events.

The Town is moving forward with plans for a big, exciting blowout Fourth of July Celebration. The four-day event will conclude with a party at the Trailhead Park with fireworks, music by Four Unplugged, and plenty of food and drink for everyone  to enjoy.

We are also looking forward to presenting the Abita Springs Busker Festival. Usually held in the spring, the much anticipated music festival has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 19. Performances will  start at 10:30 am with music playing throughout the day and ending at 7:15 pm.

We would also invite everyone to our Art and Farmer’s Market on Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm. The market hosts live music and it’s a great place to come with the family for a bite to eat and some Sunday afternoon shopping.

So, everyone mark your calendars and stay tuned. Get ready for summer fun in Abita Springs because one of the best-kept-secret small towns in the entire south – where nature performs miracles – is planning to celebrate. You don’t want to miss it!
